Only you can decide whether a vegetarian diet is right for you. If better health is your goal!

From all point of view eating meat is unhealthy. Meat consumption is strongly linked to a high risk of cancer and other illnesses such as type 2 diabetes, heart stroke, and kidney failure. You can alter your diet without damaging the health of either your mind and body. A Mediterranean diet is known to be associated with longer life spans and reduced risk of several chronic illnesses A wide variety of food can replace meat. Legumes, vegetables, eggs, fruits, whole-wheat flour, olive oil, nuts, fibers etc. are available and diverse recipes as well. In the following posts I will set a few recipes for nice and tasty vegetarian meals.

Even if you don't want to become a complete vegetarian, you can steer your diet in that direction with a few simple substitutions, such as plant-based sources of protein — beans or tofu, for example — or fish instead of meat a couple of times a week. Studies confirm the health benefits of meat-free diets. Meat-free eating is one of a few steps towards moderate living... which will be the topic of my next post.
